Company

Leverage and communication are key words for Aquion.  We enable our vendors to leverage the region's best Channel Partners to deliver business value.  We service the region, regularly travelling to all major centres providing channel and account management services.

Aquion was founded in November 2000 with the objective of providing high quality services to support adoption of new technologies in the Australian marketplace.  Aquion was first signed by WRQ Software to develop the market for it's innovative host integration technology, WRQ Verastream.  Recognising the value that Aquion added through its Channel Relationship program, WRQ subsequently signed Aquion as a pure-play distributor for its flagship WRQ Reflection.

PGP Corporation selected Aquion as its Distribution partner for Australia and New Zealand based on the breadth and depth of relationships with leading enterprise customers and their resellers.  PGP Corporation recognised that partnering with Aquion led to rapid re-engagement with PGP customers and resellers in the Australia and New Zealand marketplaces.

Since 2002, Aquion has established relationships with leading vendors providing security and risk management technologies.

Aquion primarily works with off-shore vendors who recognise the benefit of a one-on-one relationship to deliver professional representation in our marketplace.  Aquion adds vendors to its catalogue that provide enterprise strength, quality products which fit with our customers and resellers.

Aquion works in partnership with its vendors and channel partners.  We regularly travel overseas to ensure that our sales and technical staff are trained to the same level as vendor staff.

Management Team

Stephen Balicki - Managing Director

Stephen founded Aquion in November 2000.  Prior to this he worked for IBM holding sales, marketing and management positions in Australia, Japan and with an Asia Pacific focus. Stephen understands the power of reputable brands and the ethical delivery of high-quality technology solutions.  During his extensive career in IBM he oversaw the establishment of major IBM business units.  During the rise of e-business he was instrumental in the adoption of new technologies in some the region's largest accounts.

Audrey Lyon - General Manager, Sales

Audrey joined Aquion in August 2002.   With over twenty years experience in the Information Technology industry working with customers to sell and deliver business solutions and services, she focuses on growing and enhancing Aquion's customer, business and vendor relationships.  She has held Client Executive and Channel roles within IBM, HP and a large Australian Systems Integrator. Over the past ten years the major projects that she has won include large Systems IIntegration and Outsourcing contracts within the Government sector, and solutions sales within large corporate accounts.
