Lieberman Software Enterprise Random Password Manager
Liebsoft Enterprise Random Password Manager (ERPM) automatically discovers, strengthens, monitors and recovers local, domain, and process account passwords in the enterprise.
Enterprise Random Password Manager:
-
- Super-user login accounts that are used to change configuration settings, execute programs and administer systems.
- Service accounts that require privileged login IDs and passwords to run.
- Most importantly, web services, business applications, custom software, and other types of applications that connect to databases, middleware, and other application tiers.
ERPM uniquely provides operational efficiency by delivering the following benefits:
Automated Accuracy:
ERPM can ensure that even complex privileged identity environments are accurately catalogued, with up-to-the-minute precision. This is because ERPM is specifically designed to automatically detect changes in the enterprise and immediately update itself.
Comprehensive Propagation:
Password changes are propagated anywhere privileged accounts are referenced (such as accounts used by Windows services), through a fully automated, continuous discovery process.
Continuous Availability:
Comprehensive accuracy and coverage greatly reduces the chance of account lockouts, system failures, and downtime caused when any Windows process account is not updated with the newly changed password.
Total Privileged Account Security:
Password policies are enforced automatically to the entire managed environment, without leaving invisible security holes created when manual discovery processes fail to identify privileged accounts.
Effortless Compliance Reporting:
The entire environment, all actions and password access activities are audited, and available through a sophisticated real-time monitoring and in-depth administrative reporting system. Generate compliance reports instantaneously with a simple mouse click!
Lieberman’s ERPM password management technology is designed to help companies properly manage and secure such privileged accounts. It lets companies centralize the management of privileged user accounts and to apply formal identity management policies to the accounts, and to log and audit the use of those accounts.
Random Password Manager
One of the key features of ERPM is its ability to help companies randomize password creation for privileged accounts. Random Password Manager allows administrators to schedule periodic randomisation of privileged accounts and those with root access to networks and system. The feature is designed to ensure that no two privileged accounts have the same password.
Password Recovery
Password Recovery is another key feature of ERPM. The recover password feature allows administrators to recover current passwords on demand and lets them decide who can retrieve such passwords and for what length of time they can use it.
Password Auto-Roll
A Password Auto-Roll feature then automatically re-randomizes the password once it has been retrieved and used, so that the same password cannot be used to log into the privileged account.
Temporary credentials
Lieberman’s ERPM also supports a feature that lets administrators issue temporary privileged log in credentials for purposes such as installing new applications or for applying security patches on a system.
Password Store
The technology integrates a Password Store which administrators can use to store privileged user passwords in a secure and encrypted fashion. ERPM supports two-factor authentication via RSA SecurID technology to ensure that only legitimate users have access to privileged accounts and passwords.
The software can help companies discover all the privileged and shared password accounts within an enterprise network setting. It can be used to strengthen those passwords, randomize them and to reset them periodically.
ERPM can be used to quickly propagate a change password request across an enterprise setting. It can similarly be used to propagate a randomize password request or a recover password request across the enterprise from a central administration console.
The tool also helps IT managers monitor and log the use of privileged passwords or an administrator password, and helps them comply with regulatory requirements governing the use of privileged and shared accounts.
The software can be used to alert administrators when a change password request is made on a privileged account, or when any other actions that can have a significant impact on network integrity are made by anyone in the enterprise.
Importantly, Lieberman’s ERPM software enables a business to implement formal termination controls for quickly removing access to a privileged user account when an employee is no longer working with the company.
