PGP NetShare

Accessing network files securely requires a number of factors to be considered. PGP Corporation's PGP Desktop NetShare application ensures that any file can be securely and transparently shared and secured on any network storage drive, while also enabling network administrators and backup processes to move the files without compromising the security of the data.

PGP NetShare application of client-side encryption ensures that files can be securely accessed from, or saved to, any SMB shared network location. The separation of file permissions from decryption permissions means that an administrator can manipulate the files and their location without accessing or altering the data inside them.

The PCI standard requires that credit card data be persistently encrypted. PGP Netshare is a key technology in providing this function.
