The Network Vulnerability Management process is closely linked to Configuration Compliance Management, Web and Database Vulnerability Management, Patch Management, and ultimately Risk Management.
Network Vulnerability Management technologies are selected based on the scale and complexity of your network; the frequency that you wish to scan and report on the network; and the level of workflow integration that you require to streamline your overall processes. GFI LanGuard is ideal for smaller networks which require integrated vulnerability assessment and patch management.

Aquion provides Patch Management solutions ranging from workgroups to centralized Enterprise Patch Management solutions. GFI LanGuard offers integrated vulnerabilty assessment and patching. Shavlik NetChk Protect offers a solution which can address patching for off-line virtual environments.
