Stay Smart Online week (8th to 14th October) is a federal government initiative coming from the Australian Cybersecurity Centre. One is four Australians were hit by cybercrime last year. This initiatives brings the Australian public, business and government together in a united effort to reverse the threat of cybercrime.
It’s all about the adopting of smart ways to avoid the pain, money and time it costs to recover from cybercrime. There are simple actions we can all take to keep safe when connected.
Aquion partner Cylance uses artificial intelligence to detect malware and as part of Stay Smart Online week they are giving away a six-month license of Cylance Smart Antivirus for up to ten devices at no cost. (RRP: $129) The software is suitable for both business and personal use.
Cylance Smart Antivirus uses AI to proactively predict and block never-before-seen threats to help keep personal data secure which differs to other end-point security tools which use signatures to detect previously known pieces of malware. Cylance says their approach of using AI to detect anomalous behaviour can predict, spot, and block threats before they have a chance to run—regardless of where the threats are launched.
How do you get it?
To get Cylance Smart Antivirus free, head to the sign-up page for the offer and enter your details.
Note: you need to provide a credit card number and that the offer will auto-renew to a 12-month license after the trial by default. That costs $129 but you can opt out of the automatic renewal immediately.
